Payment Card Security

What should you do in case you have lost your payment card?
In case you have lost a payment card you may block it by dialing tel. + 370 5 215 1177, + 370 5 215 1188, + 370 5 233 1199 or mob. + 370 698 21 000 all 24 hours round. An application regarding the lost card’s blocking confirmation should be submitted to any outlet of Šiaulių bankas within 7 business days. The card shall be blocked free of charge.

How to use a payment card safely?
• sign on the particularly indicated place right after receiving a new payment card;
• keep watch over your payment card in the same way as if it is any other of your personal documents or money;
• do not show or tell your payment card data via the telephone or Internet to people in whose reliability you doubt;
• use combinations that are unknown and unpredictable to other people for passwords, which are necessary to provide information via the telephone;
• make sure that a payment card has been returned to you after each payment;
• check your payment card’s monthly statements on regular basis;
• noticing suspicious operations, inform the bank immediately;
• do not tell your payment card’s PIN code to anybody, do not write your PIN code anywhere, where other people could see it. Eliminate the envelope after remembering your PIN code;
• check a payment amount before signing on the payment bill or entering the PIN code;
• in case a payment card has gone or you suspect that other people might know your PIN code or have pocketed your payment card, please inform the bank immediately and block the payment card.

Operation limits are set to increase the card’s security

In order to protect your money operation limits per day are applied to all payment cards issued by Šiaulių bankas AB:
• cash withdrawal limit in Lithuanian and foreign ATMs - LTL 10 000, number of operations - up to 5. These limits are not applied in the bank’s cash offices;
• a limit of LTL 15 000 is set for payments of goods while the number of operations may not exceed 10.
