The state supported credits are granted to the students enrolled into the list of students, who are offered to enter into the state supported credit agreements, approved by the Lithuanian State Science and Studies Foundation.

Purpose of the credits:
• to pay for studies;
• to pay for the living expenses;
• to pay for the partial studies under the international (interdepartmental) agreements.

Amount of the credits:
• a credit to pay for the studies  cannot exceed the price payable by the student for one year of studies;
•  a credit for the living expenses cannot exceed LTL 6500 over one year of studies;
• a credit for partial studies under the international (interdepartmental) agreements cannot exceed LTL 7800 over one year of studies.

Credit currency:
• Credits are granted in litas and euros.

Credit maturity:
• Credits are granted for one year of studies.

Conditions of credit transfer:
• The credit to pay for studies is transferred in litas to the account of State Science and Studies institution in equal portions each semester: ½ of the credit amount in autumn semester and ½ of the credit amount in spring semester;
• The credit to pay for the living expenses is transferred in credit currency into the current account defined by the borrower in the credit agreement in equal portions monthly according to the borrowers application to pay a portion of credit, however not later than until July 1st of the year of studies.  The final year students receive the credit in equal portions monthly, however not later than before the graduation;
• The credit for partial studies under the international (interdepartmental) agreements is transferred at once in credit currency into the account defined by the borrower in the credit agreement.

Credit interest rate:
• 3 months VILIBOR + 2% Bank’s margin
• 3 months EURIBOR + 3% Bank’s margin
Credit interest payment:
• interest for the credit is calculated from the paid out and outstanding credit portion;
• student must pay interest on monthly basis immediately after credit granting;
• interest or their share, calculated during the studies can be paid form the state funds.
Credit repayment:
• the repayment of the credit starts not later than within 12 months after graduation (termination of studies), however not later within 15 years after the beginning of the credit repayment;
• the credit can be repaid  prior to the credit maturity - a credit prepayment fee is not applied;
• 6 months grace period can be applied to the credit repayment, the maximum number of grace periods - 4 times. After coordination with the Funds - for 3 years.

Fees applied to credit granting:
• to document analysis fee is not applied;
• administration fee (onetime, calculated according to the maximum credit amount) - 0.5% (minimum LTL 50);
• exchange of currency (at commercial rate) - 0.25%.

Documents necessary in order to receive credits:
• document proving personal identity;
• an authorization to sign an agreement approved in accordance with the legal acts, in case the credit agreement is signed by the authorized person;
• application for state supported credits.

The agreements with Šiaulių bankas regarding credit granting can be signed during the period between  19-10-2009 and 13-10-2009.
