Not registered in the Republic of Lithuania

All legal entities not registered in the Republic of Lithuania may have a bank account with Šiaulių bankas AB.

In order to open bank accounts, the legal entities not registered in the Republic of Lithuania have to provide the following documents:
• an application for bank account(s) opening in the form set by the bank;
• two signature and stamp sample cards;
• an enterprise registration certificate (an original) or a copy of it certified at commercial register at the country of origin regarding registration;
• the Charter/Provisions/Statute of the enterprise (an original) or its certified copy;
• an authorization to represent the enterprise certified by the foreign country’s notary or other liable officer;
• a permit to open an account(s) in the foreign country from the national central bank in case it is required under the applicable law of that country;
• the authorized persons must provide a document confirming personal identity and have an enterprise stamp in case the enterprise must have a stamp.

Requirements to the provided documents:
1. Documents have to be legalized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania or at the embassy. In case a foreign country, where the enterprise is registered, at is associated in the Hague convention then documents regarding cancellation of legalization of foreign state documents have to be approved by the certificate regarding the origin of the documents issued by the competent institution of the foreign state (“APOSTILLE”).
2. Documents issued in the states, which have entered into the agreements of legal support, and legal relations in civil, family and criminal cases with the Republic of Lithuania do not need to be legalized.
3. All the documents have to be translated to the Lithuanian language. The translator’s signature has to be approved by the stamp of the translation agency or a notary of the Republic of Lithuania.
4. In case the copies of the documents are provided they have to be approved by a notary of the Republic of Lithuania.
